Feeling: Immersed in culture and family

Today was my cousin's engagement. We took a bus to the engagement location, changed into awesome outfits and attended the engagement. We had a dance performance, ate food and generally ran around making sure things were going well. Lots of photos were taken too. Felt much more like a full on wedding.

Later on we took the bus back home, spoke all night with the cousins and slept pretty early in the morning. Mainly because the next day we needed to go to mum's side of the family and I wouldn't get a chance to see everyone else again.

There was definitely too many gifts and it was all a bit overboard in that respect. About 100 attendees but the food and all could have probably fed hundreds. Especially because the main people don't even end up making best usage of all the food and all because of how busy you are organising and making sure things run smoothly. But it was definitely beautiful. And I absolutely loved being with family, and helping out especially when you don't see your extended family so often, you forget what your responsibilities are and how important you being there really is. So all of that was really warming.
