End of year activities with friends

Note: Was going to post this back in Mid December 2016 but left it unfinished so here's a finished late version. (Better late than never right? :p )

Halfway through Nov, I finished exams and since then have successfully completed my second year at uni!! eek halfway through and only 2 more years to go before I'll have to enter the workforce for reals this time.

This can only mean one thing - catching up with all the friends :D :D I'm going to mention a few activities I've done with friends. Starting off with a hike.

Waterfall - isn't it pretty?

Mini waterfall? :p

The last time I did this hike, was in the middle of winter but there was no where nearly as much water as there was this time! The waterfall looked more like a waterfall too and I am starting to think more about how nature changes in the different seasons, especially in areas I do not frequent often (obviously I notice the changes around me, but I'm not around hiking areas usually!).

Next I caught up with a really good friend of mine and we checked out the Art Gallery of SA and caught up with how our year's been while discussing the art. I hadn't been in absolutely ages so it was quite interesting. Now a while back, a certain piece of art was quite big in the news but I had totally forgotten about it. Here is a pic:

A real dead horse with no head

I really don't want to discuss this at all... but i'll just leave that pic there.

Next some of my high school friends met at the Adelaide Botanical Gardens for a picnic. Picnics were a weekly occurrence so this was somewhat reminiscent of that. It also gave me the chance to see a part of the Gardens that I have never seen (sad but true).

Greenhouse (weird flat flower things)

The blue was unreal

The two images above shows flowers growing from this asparagus resembling plant but the flowers had an unreal blue. They were not bright, but really royal and seemed very silky and shiny as if they were artificial. That sort of colour blue I have never seen on flowers before. Also, their buds were a royal purple, which turned blue as the flower opened!

And finally, we threw a surprise birthday party for one of my friends, the next day. She was so surprised, it was hilarious!! We played board games and caught up after many many months! Was good fun.

Upcoming: Trip to India and an exciting Job that I was interviewing for during December.

Talk Soon,
Nehal
