Friends ~ UNI ~ Holidays

Hi Guys!

I'm sure that we have all gone through tough beginnings - our first day at school, first time living away from parents, or whatever else that may have scared you. But it is not just the beginnings that can be nerve-wracking. Endings too can bring a lot of anxiety.

The end of high school seemed like a pretty big deal. I could just picture all of my friends going off to do their own separate things in different states and universities. I could see us drifting apart due to these differences. It wasn't a happy feeling. 4 years with the same people does that to you.

I am currently in the middle of my end of first semester holidays and while I don't talk or see my friends as much as I used to (gone from daily to occasionally in holidays or run ins during semester), so far its going good!

End of semester also brough anxiety about how exams went. I really wasn't very confident with 2 of my exams, thinking that I could have failed the actual exams. However, thankfully the uni system works so that you get a supplementary exam or a fail based on your final grade for the course. Not knowing the system, I was worried I might have to do a supplementary exam if they were awarded based on failing the exam. Well I'm content with my results....but a lot of work needs to be done.

For the time being, I am enjoying the holidays which have been pretty good. I haven't been cooped inside all day every day and I am enjoying the warm sunlight that is pouring into my room as I write.

3 quarter of the way into the holidays, I finally looked at the course outlines for my courses and have figured out some useful things to do to prepare. Hopefully I can commit myself to working towards some preparation. Last sem I worked better at the beginning and then slacked off. This time round I need to be even better organised and hopefully my preparation at least makes the work seem familiar, even if I don't understand it right now.

HURRAY FOR POSITIVITY! :)

PS. I know these posts are often a whole lot more serious but sometimes a little calm thinking is good :p
Also, I don't exactly have photos to post :(
