Hey everyone! A lot has happened last week and I will be quite busy this week too...
So I suppose you are wondering why the heading is so obvious right?
well,
tomorrow night, there is a debate and the topic is "Blogging isn't real
communication". I am VERY happy to be on the negative side, and not
because I am biased since this is clearly a blog, but because I truly
believe that blogging is communication and i don't know what 'fake'
communication could be.
And now to the more interesting part,
Last week, I didn't go to school, but instead I went to University of Adelaide for work experience!!
I
really had no clue what it would be like, and getting there a whole 20
minutes late on the first day with my dad was surely not a good way to
start the day.
In the end, the first day was AMAZING!!!!
I do not have any photos of the place, sorry...but just look it up online! :P
I
firstly dismantled a printer, and was told about many of the different
parts of it. Over the course of the week many items and how they work
were explained to me... I also saw a live video (that was delayed 14min
an 20 seconds due to video coming from really far away in space) of
NASA's probe landing on Mars!
First time ever seeing it and it was interesting.
later,
I also made an FM radio transmitter that actually worked! Then an
Arduino circuit that I can program if I can be bothered to do so... I
can make the LEDs fade in and out, and light up in different ways.
Doing other things like getting buzzers working are also possible.
One more very interesting thing I did
was see a box print from a 3D printer. I have it with me now at home
and it fits the Arduino board perfectly.
We had planned for a bookmark that I designed using CAD (AutoDesk) to be printed, but there simply wasn't enough time :(
They did say they could print it off
and send it to me if they had time though. But thats okay. It wasn't
that great a design anyway :/
Had a good time but am now stuck with too much homework and a debate that i can only bring 1 card too....
